The analysis predicts that capacity in this sector is expected to grow by 3% over the course of 2023, reaching approximately USD 99 billion by year’s end. This compares with USD 96 billion for 2022. Total global reinsurance capital is expected to reach USD 560 billion at year-end. While that is still below the USD year-end 2021 figure of USD 570 billion, it represents a strong recovery from 2022’s amount of USD 530 billion.
