In this interview with The Insurer TV, Vicky Carter, Chairman of Global Capital Solutions, International, and Rising Professionals, talks about the upcoming Marsh McLennan Rising Professionals' Global Forum, and how it helps younger colleagues to build their careers.
“I'm really passionate about helping young people not only enter the industry but also thrive within it,” she said. "This event provides a platform to understand the industry's diverse dynamics, learn essential leadership skills and network with peers and industry leaders.”
The theme for the 2024 event, which runs June 26 and 27, is Creating Opportunity out of Chaos. Topics include climate change, global political and economic landscape, innovation and technology, and branding and cybersecurity.
"We're not great at promoting our industry to new talent. But once people enter it, they love it,” Vicky explained. “The themes young people are passionate about—climate change, sustainability, innovation—are at the heart of our industry."
