“What I see as absolutely crucial is partnering. Partnering is key to tackle the most pressing challenges of the day, and new thinking by insurance professionals, by capital providers, policymakers and regulators is going to be needed to create the win-win arrangements we’re looking for. Now, establishing public-private partnerships on climate risk assessment and mitigation is certainly part of the answer… And we need to encourage the insurance sector to participate in national and regional climate resilience planning," Ruth explained.
