In this video interview with AM Best TV, Guy Carpenter’s Laurent Rousseau, CEO EMEA and Global Capital Solutions, talks about key risks in Europe and what they mean for the (re)insurance marketplace.
“If you look at European risks, macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties are very high, not just on the elections point of view, but SRCC (strikes, riots and civil commotion) and political stability is going to be a major point,” Laurent explained.
On the natural catastrophe front, Laurent mentioned how Europe is still dealing with the consequences of earthquakes in Turkey and Morocco.
“The question of quake covers, and how natural catastrophes remain a key question in Italy, in Greece, in Portugal, is very much on people’s minds as well,” he continued.
